US: Seven children killed in virus outbreak

The death toll from a viral outbreak at a medical care centre in the US state of New Jersey has risen to seven children, with 11 more infected.



The strain of adenovirus at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation was "associated with communal living" and "known to cause severe illness", officials said in a statement.

The children affected were "medically fragile", the statement added.



The state investigation is ongoing. The centre is now closed to new patients.

Greece: Former minister Papantoniou and his wife to be sent to Korydallos prison

Former minister Yiannos Papantoniou and his wife Stavroula Kourakou are to be incarcerated in Korydallos prison on Wednesday, according to the prosecutor's decision.

Greek judicial authorities ordered that the couple be remanded in custody late on Tuesday, following their testimony on charges of money laundering.

Η πρώτη του θεατρική εμφάνιση ήταν το 1957, με το θίασο Άννας Λώρη - Άλκη Παπά στο θέατρο «Διονύσια», Καλλιθέα), ενώ ήταν για αρκετά χρόνια μέλος του Θεάτρου Τέχνης-Κάρολος Κουν και αργότερα μεταπήδησε σε άλλους θιάσους.
